Include MDisks

For MDisks that have been excluded from the system, you can add them back to the pool by determining the underlying problem that caused the system to exclude the MDisk.

For MDisks with multiple I/O failures or persistent connection errors, the system excludes them from pools to ensure these errors do not interfere with data access. You can also manually exclude an MDisk if you are taking the underlying drives offline for maintenance. If an MDisk has been automatically excluded from a pool, it indicates multiple I/O failures or connection errors to the drive that need to be fixed. For any MDisk with an excluded state, select Monitoring > Events and fix any errors that are related to connections and I/O failures. Multiple errors on drives might require replacing or reseating drives that these excluded MDisks use. Use the fix procedures for these errors to resolve these issues.

After the error or connection problem has been fixed, the excluded MDisk can be added back into the system. Select Pools > MDisks. Right-click the MDisk that has been excluded and click Include.
