Moving volumes mapped to iSCSI hosts to another I/O group

To move volumes that are mapped to iSCSI hosts to another I/O group, you must unmap the volumes from the hosts before you run the Move Volume to Another I/O Group wizard.

Attention: This procedure is disruptive. Access to the volume is lost while you follow this procedure.
To move volumes that are mapped to iSCSI hosts, complete the following steps:
  1. In the management GUI, select Hosts > Hosts.
  2. Select the host from which you are unmapping the volume or volumes.
  3. Select Actions > Modify Mappings.
  4. Under Volumes Mapped to Hosts, select the volume or volumes that you want to move to another I/O group and select Unmap.
  5. Select Volumes > Volumes.
  6. Select the volume or volumes that you unmapped from the host and select Actions > Move to Another I/O Group.
  7. In the wizard, select the new I/O group and the preferred node for the volume. Click Finish.
  8. Select the volume that you moved and select Actions > Map to Host.
  9. Select the iSCSI host that was originally mapped to this volume. The volume is highlighted under Volumes Mapped to Hosts. Verify that this volume is correct and select Map Volumes.
