System migration

The internal storage contains a collection of RAID MDisks, which are detected and configured after the management GUI is started. If you have external storage systems that you would like to migrate, you can use the storage migration wizard to step you through the migration process.

The storage migration wizard prompts you to complete several tasks to prepare for the migration, including cabling and zoning the device, and mapping the storage to volumes. The system discovers the storage devices. You can use the wizard to select the MDisks that you would like to migrate, configure the hosts, map the volumes to the hosts, and select the destination storage pool. When the wizard completes, the volumes are automatically created and migrated. Some configurations are not supported by this wizard, and if you want to migrate storage with these configurations, it must be done manually.
